Amgen Introduces New Amgentrials.com

Amgen today launched the new Amgentrials.com website (http://www.amgentrials.com), an important resource for patients, physicians, and others who seek information about the company’s clinical trials.

Amgentrials.com offers easily accessible, fully searchable information about all Amgen-sponsored Phase 2-4 clinical trials of marketed and investigational products that are enrolling, active or completed as of July 1, 2002, as well as Amgen-sponsored Phase 1 trials for which the company intends to publish results in a scientific journal.

For completed studies, Amgentrials.com publishes results summaries consistent with the company’s clinical results disclosure policy (which is also available on the Amgentrials.com website) and with Amgen’s submissions to the U.S. National Institutes of Health’s http://www.clinicaltrials.gov website and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) http://www.clinicalstudyresults.org website.

Amgentrials.com demonstrates Amgen’s commitment to transparent and ethical reporting of our research activities and results. The new site is part of the company’s Clearly Amgen initiative to provide transparent and clear communication and facilitate dialog with stakeholders. Launched in 2007, the Clearly Amgen section of Amgen.com provides one-step access to the company’s disclosures of medical, philanthropic and political donations and to Amgen’s policies and positions on ethical research, conflicts of interest, pricing, responsible marketing practices, and other topics.
